Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current ASD Licensure required
  • Experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based strategies and interventions for students with autism
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Outstanding communication skills, collaborating effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Compassion, patience, and a student-centered approach

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to students identified with autism through intensive programming
  • Support students in both academic and behavioral growth, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs
  • Develop and review educational plans, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Collect data and monitor student progress, adapting instructional methods as needed
  • Work closely with a collaborative team of educators, therapists, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings related to student development

This is a full-time role, offering 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to connect and build rapport with students while delivering consistent support. The contract position gives professionals the flexibility to apply their skills in a rewarding educational setting and gain specialized experience.
