Special Education Teacher - Shakopee, Minnesota

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching license appropriate for the state
• Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities
• Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance requirements
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and administration
• Proven ability to develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies
• Adaptability and creativity in classroom management and lesson planning

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver effective lessons tailored to students’ unique learning requirements
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in line with regulatory standards
• Regularly assess student performance and document progress towards goals
• Provide academic and behavioral support, promoting a positive, inclusive classroom culture
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists
• Communicate consistently with families to discuss progress and address any concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to team meetings regarding student development
