A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year in an elementary school setting located in Shawnee, KS. This position is center-based within a low incidence LIFT program, designed to support students with specialized educational needs. The role is a W-2 contract position with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week and offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students in the low incidence LIFT program.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, families, and related service providers.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to curriculum development and enhancement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Kansas Special Education License required.
  • Low incidence license preferred.
  • Proven experience in teaching special education at the elementary level.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational teams.
