Special Education Teacher in Shawnee, KS

There are three immediate openings for Special Education professionals eager to contribute in a full-time capacity within an elementary LIFT Program. You'll work closely with a caseload of just 8 students, providing focused guidance and fostering a supportive classroom culture.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience or strong interest in Special Education in a school setting
• Current and active Kansas Low Incidence Special Education Licensure (required)
• Genuine dedication to nurturing the growth and success of students with unique learning needs
• Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and excellent communication skills
• Flexibility, compassion, and problem-solving ability in a classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver instruction to a small group of elementary students in a supportive, specialized classroom
• Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and student-centered classroom atmosphere
• Monitor student progress, providing regular updates and adjustments based on individual needs
• Collaborate with program team members and related service providers to facilitate holistic student development
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
