Ideal candidates will have:
- Valid KS low-incidence SPED licensure, appropriate for grades 6-12
- Experience working with high school students in a special education setting
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Ability to implement evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Dedication to building positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering personalized instruction tailored to a range of learning and behavioral needs
- Creating, reviewing, and updating IEPs to meet student goals and regulatory requirements
- Assessing student progress and adjusting strategies for optimal development
- Collaborating with support staff, therapists, and general education teachers
- Advocating for students’ needs while maintaining strong family engagement
