Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active 461 Tennessee Special Education teaching license.
• Experience working with young children in a special education setting, ideally in self-contained classrooms.
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to differentiate instruction.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to build trusting relationships with students and their families.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to K-2nd grade students in a self-contained classroom, adapting curriculum to meet individual needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with families and other educators.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to encourage student engagement and promote growth.
• Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state regulations.
• Communicate regularly with parents, support staff, and administrative teams regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in professional development and school-based meetings.
