Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid 461 Tennessee Special Education license
• Experience working with students in K-2nd grade, preferably within self-contained classrooms
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support tailored to students’ individual needs in a self-contained classroom
• Develop and implement effective IEPs in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
• Adapt and modify lessons, materials, and classroom activities to accommodate diverse learning styles
• Maintain accurate records and ongoing progress reports as required
• Partner with support staff, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
• Create a safe, positive, and engaging atmosphere where each student can thrive
