Special Education Teacher in Sherwood, AR

Openings are available for the following roles for the 2026-2027 academic year:

• Elementary (K-2): All Subjects
• Elementary ELA (3rd–6th Grade)
• Middle School ELA
• Middle School Math

All positions follow consistent weekday hours from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, running from August 5, 2026, through June 2, 2027. Each classroom maintains a smaller caseload of just 10-12 students, allowing for more direct engagement and individualized instruction.

Qualifications:

• Hold active Special Education Licensure
• Demonstrated experience working with children with dyslexia
• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support varied learning styles
• Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for teaming with general educators and related service providers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction tailored to each student’s IEP and learning needs
• Implement interventions and accommodations for students with dyslexia
• Assess, monitor, and document student progress
• Foster a caring classroom environment that encourages participation and growth
• Communicate regularly with families, colleagues, and administrators
• Participate in IEP meetings, planning, and professional development
