Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification, with state credentials in good standing
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Previous teaching experience in special education settings preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on student IEPs, adapting content and teaching strategies for various learning styles
• Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to coordinate academic and behavioral interventions
• Assess student progress regularly, adjust instruction as needed, and maintain thorough records
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and support strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student goal planning
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and confidence
