Special Education Teacher - Silt, Colorado

This full-time, onsite contract position runs from August 2026 through early June 2027, offering the opportunity to work with a supportive team committed to inclusive education. You’ll have your choice of either a middle school (grades 6–8) or high school (grades 9–12) caseload, both focused on supporting students with mild to moderate needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Colorado Teaching License
• Special Education (SPED) Endorsement required
• Comfortable supporting students with mild to moderate needs, including behavioral support
• Willingness to assist with toileting needs if necessary
• Experience with middle or high school grade levels preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 25–30 students in your assigned grade range
• Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide tailored instruction, intervention, and behavioral support
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families
• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet student needs
• Maintain accurate records and comply with relevant regulations
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
