You will lead a small, close-knit classroom of four 2nd and 3rd graders, some of whom display autism behaviors, ensuring each child receives the individualized attention and care they deserve.
In this role, you’ll partner with two skilled paraprofessionals to foster a supportive and structured classroom community. Your expertise in special education will guide the creation of engaging, adaptive lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and emotional needs. Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification for Colorado
- Experience working with elementary grades, particularly students with autism or affective needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and related service providers
- Strong classroom management skills, utilizing positive behavioral interventions
- Commitment to tailored instruction that meets each student's IEP goals
