Special Education Teacher - Silver Creek, New York

Key Qualifications:

• New York State Special Education Teacher Certification with appropriate endorsement
• Experience with or passion for teaching early elementary-aged students in self-contained or similar settings
• Proven ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers
• Commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive classroom climate

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans
• Work closely with a 6:1:1 classroom team to ensure student safety, growth, and success
• Assess progress and document data in accordance with IEP requirements
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives
