Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid credentials and certification for special education instruction
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher (SPED experience preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other educators, specialists, and families
• Understanding of academic and behavioral interventions specific to students with autism
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability in dynamic classroom settings
• Willingness to assist with personal care tasks, including occasional toileting support for students

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student
• Utilize diverse instructional strategies to foster both academic progress and social growth
• Maintain comprehensive records of student goals, progress, and behavioral observations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and milestones
• Support students' independence, positive behaviors, and self-advocacy skills
• Assist students as needed with daily routines, which may include toileting or other personal care
