Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current MSDE (Maryland State Department of Education) Special Education Teacher certification is required
  • Experience working with early childhood populations, particularly children with special needs
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites within the workday (no travel restrictions)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families and educational staff
  • Familiarity with IEP planning, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Enthusiasm for working in a flexible, changing environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to early childhood students across multiple settings
  • Adapt and modify curriculum and materials to meet individual student needs
  • Conduct assessments, collect data, and monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
  • Develop and implement effective behavioral and instructional strategies
  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress and needs
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and documentation requirements
  • Travel during contracted hours from one site to another (on the clock for travel between sites)
