Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (state-appropriate)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Previous experience in a classroom or resource setting with special needs students
• Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Adaptability to meet the unique needs of each student

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each student’s abilities and learning goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support
• Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to drive instructional decisions
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date IEP documentation and required records
• Communicate regularly and compassionately with families, keeping them informed on student achievement and growth
