Travel Special Ed Teacher | Silver Spring, Maryland

An educational opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support diverse learners in a school setting located in Silver Spring, MD. This role involves working collaboratively with students, families, and educational staff to create inclusive learning environments tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in accordance with state guidelines
• Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet the needs of students with various learning challenges
• Monitor and document student progress, providing regular feedback to families and educational teams
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to integrate students effectively
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance instructional practices
• Provide support during school-related travel as required

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification/licensure
• Experience working with students with disabilities in school settings
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, techniques, and assistive technologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed
