Special Education Teacher - Silverton, Colorado

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction for three distinct groups of students with special needs
• Assess student skills and collaborate on appropriate educational goals
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, updating documentation and progress regularly
• Work closely with general education teachers and paraprofessionals to ensure accommodations and modifications are delivered
• Communicate with families regarding student achievement and needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school events
• Support student growth and independence, advocating for their needs within the school setting
