Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (appropriate to South Carolina requirements)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working closely with families, support staff, and other educators
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet varying student needs and abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute engaging lesson plans in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Use diverse instructional techniques to foster student engagement and progress
• Assess student growth and adjust instruction based on ongoing evaluation
• Maintain compliance with all relevant documentation, including timely completion of IEPs and progress reports
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings, and work productively with multidisciplinary teams
• Establish a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages social and academic growth
