Special Ed Teacher | Simpsonville, South Carolina

Two Special Education Teachers are needed to support Employability Classes for high school students in grades 9-12. This full-time, contract assignment offers the opportunity to work with dedicated classroom aides and collaborative teams, focusing on student development and compliance with special education requirements.

Location:

• Greenville, SC (High School setting)

Duration:

• Immediate start through May 22, 2025

Hours:

• Full-time, Monday-Friday
• 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (37.5 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver classroom instruction tailored to students with special education needs
• Develop lesson plans and maintain accurate grade records
• Supervise students throughout the school day
• Write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and conduct IEP meetings
• Ensure all activities comply with special education policies and regulations
• Collaborate with classroom aides and participate in planning periods

Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Educator Certification
• Endorsement or specialty in Multi-categorical Special Education or Intellectual Disabilities (ID)
• Experience working with high school students in a special education setting preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
