Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Creative lesson planning skills adaptable to differentiated instruction
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Excellent classroom management techniques
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Familiarity with SPED 26/27 standards is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging instructional activities for special education students in elementary grades
  • Develop, review, and update IEPs to align with each student's needs
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, and other specialists
  • Monitor student progress, gather data, and adjust strategies as needed
  • Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment focused on respect and growth
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Actively participate in parent meetings and team conferences
