Qualifications:

  • Valid South Carolina teaching license (required)
  • Special Education certification in Learning Disabilities (LD) or Multi-categorical (Multi-cat.)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with middle school students
  • Skills in inclusion models and supporting diverse learners
  • Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and collaborate with staff and families

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver special education services within inclusion (push-in) settings across middle school classrooms
  • Provide individualized academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students with IEPs
  • Maintain case management responsibilities, including documentation, progress monitoring, and facilitating IEP meetings
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to adapt instruction and accommodate student needs
  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to strengthen support networks
  • Monitor student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and communicate regularly with stakeholders
