Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina teaching license (required)
- Special Education certification in Learning Disabilities (LD) or Multi-categorical (Multi-cat.)
- Experience or strong interest in working with middle school students
- Skills in inclusion models and supporting diverse learners
- Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and collaborate with staff and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver special education services within inclusion (push-in) settings across middle school classrooms
- Provide individualized academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students with IEPs
- Maintain case management responsibilities, including documentation, progress monitoring, and facilitating IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to adapt instruction and accommodate student needs
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to strengthen support networks
- Monitor student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and communicate regularly with stakeholders
