Special Education Teacher in Somerset, WI

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold a valid Wisconsin cross-categorical special education teaching license
• Experience working with young learners in a K–2 setting preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes and the ability to implement individualized instructional strategies
• Compassionate educator committed to student growth and inclusion
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to meet diverse learning needs in a cross-categorical classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
• Modify curriculum and adapt lessons to support both academic and functional skill development
• Foster a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with families and collaborate with related service providers and general education staff
• Maintain documentation and participate in meetings to track and review student progress
