Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts teaching license/certification for Moderate or Severe Disabilities is required
- Demonstrated experience working in a school-based setting
- Previous caseload management with students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments highly desired
- Up-to-date CORI search and fingerprinting; letter of suitability from a previous employer may satisfy fingerprint requirements
- Comfortable collaborating with staff and families to develop and implement effective individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to start promptly and remain committed through June 25, 2026
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to small groups and individual students in accordance with IEP goals
- Monitor and document student progress; adjust interventions and supports as needed
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, annual reviews, and parent-teacher conferences
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom climate
- Collaborate with related service providers, instructional assistants, and multidisciplinary teams
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers
