Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher working with 2nd and 3rd grade students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments. This onsite contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 25, 2026. Situated in a collaborative school setting, you’ll engage with young learners, providing individualized instruction and fostering growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current Massachusetts teaching license/certification in Moderate or Severe disabilities (required)
  • School-based teaching experience, particularly within special education
  • Completion of CORI background check and fingerprinting (a letter of suitability from a previous employer for fingerprints may be accepted)
  • Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate instructional techniques for students with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dedication to fostering inclusive, accessible learning experiences

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for 2nd and 3rd grade students
  • Create engaging, differentiated instructional activities tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate effectively with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
  • Maintain organized student records and monitor progress toward IEP goals
  • Promote a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and regular staff collaboration
  • Uphold school policies and procedures while advocating for student success

This contract opportunity provides full-time consistency with a daily schedule that supports both teaching effectiveness and work/life balance. Candidates will complete a Zoom interview as part of the application process.
