Two full-time opportunities are available for experienced educators passionate about special education, working with a small group of elementary students in well-supported classrooms.

What you’ll bring:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (appropriate for elementary grades)
  • Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs), differentiated instruction, and behavioral management techniques
  • Previous experience working with elementary-age students in a special education setting preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to partner effectively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
  • Ability to foster a nurturing and structured classroom environment
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for working with diverse learning styles and needs

Your responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction for life skills and academic content in grades K-5, utilizing evidence-based strategies
  • Manage a classroom with ten or fewer students, with paraprofessionals available for instruction and support
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans and goals to ensure student progress and success
  • Utilize data to modify instruction, track progress, and communicate with families and staff
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their independence, confidence, and social skills
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, resource staff, and administration to promote inclusion and access
