What we're seeking:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Experience in K-5 special education settings, preferably with students diagnosed with autism and those presenting significant behaviors
- Proven ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and specialists
- Strong classroom and behavior management skills
- Commitment to cultivating a supportive, structured, and nurturing atmosphere
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing lesson plans tailored to IEP goals and learning needs
- Collaborating with paraprofessionals to ensure continuity of support, accommodations, and behavioral strategies
- Monitoring student progress and documenting growth toward goals
- Communicating proactively with families and support staff
- Applying evidence-based interventions to promote academic and social-emotional success
