Special Education Teacher | South Jordan, Utah

This full-time, in-person contract position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in a K-3 classroom, focusing on life skills instruction and individualized support. You’ll work closely with students in a supportive educational setting near South Jordan, UT, guiding them through their academic, social, and behavioral development.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher license or certification from the state of Utah
• Experience instructing or supporting students in special education, particularly with life skills or similar caseloads
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and families
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Ability to differentiate instruction based on individual educational plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement lesson plans centered on life skills and academic growth for K-3 students
• Assess student progress, adapting strategies and materials as needed
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Foster independence and social development for students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other educators for holistic student support
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communication with families
