You’ll work closely with a single student who previously participated in an autism program within the district and who communicates through a specialized device. Your expertise will help this student progress toward IEP goals during weekly, in-person sessions. Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders, preferred
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication devices, a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized instruction based on IEPs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 in-person instruction (approx. 10 hours per week)
• Support the student’s educational, behavioral, and social goals according to their IEP
• Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to foster student progress
• Collaborate with parents, support staff, and related service providers
• Maintain accurate records of instruction and student progress
