Soliant is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in South San Francisco, California 94080. This position is a great opportunity for a dedicated educator who is passionate about supporting students with mild to moderate learning, behavioral, social-emotional, and academic needs.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential: Mild to Moderate Support Needs, or an equivalent California special education credential. California’s Mild to Moderate Support Needs credential authorizes special education instruction and support for students across TK–12 through age 22, depending on the credential authorization.

Responsibilities

The Special Education Teacher will provide direct instruction, academic support, and case management services to students with mild to moderate disabilities. Responsibilities may include developing and implementing IEPs, adapting curriculum, tracking student progress, collaborating with general education teachers and support staff, participating in IEP meetings, and maintaining compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements.

Requirements

A valid California Special Education Teaching Credential, preferably Mild/Moderate Support Needs or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
Experience supporting students with IEPs
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Ability to collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers
