4th Grade 1st Grade Special Education Teacher - Spanaway, WA

Exciting opportunities are available for passionate Special Education Teachers eager to make a difference in K-5 classrooms. Several positions are currently open for immediate interviews and start dates, supporting schools throughout the Spanaway area and surrounding regions. These roles are contract-based, with assignments running now through February and the possibility of extension.

Multiple placements are available, including Preschool, Elementary Independent Learning Classrooms, and Elementary Structured Classrooms. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
• Background working with students in grades K-5
• Experience in elementary resource, independent learning, or structured classroom environments preferred
• Ability to develop, modify, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain an inclusive, positive learning environment
• Deliver tailored instruction based on student IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies for varied learning needs
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and challenges
