Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education, or eligibility to obtain
• Experience teaching in a Special Education setting, preferably with elementary grade levels (1st–5th)
• Deep knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Compassionate classroom management and instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Creative problem solver eager to adapt curriculum and foster inclusion

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for assigned students
• Deliver differentiated instruction in small group and one-on-one settings
• Modify general education curriculum to meet the needs of students with disabilities
• Track student progress and communicate achievement and challenges to parents and staff
• Foster a safe, welcoming learning environment for all students
• Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure full participation within the school community
