• Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education (required)
• Experience working with middle school students in a self-contained classroom preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with students' individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Maintain thorough documentation, data collection, and compliance with all regulations
• Create a safe, respectful, and structured classroom environment for all learners
• Provide direct academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students throughout the school day
