Special Education Teacher | Spencerville, Ohio

Bring your dedication and expertise to an impactful role supporting elementary students as an Intervention Specialist. In this rewarding position, you’ll work in-person to provide individualized assistance to Kindergarten through 6th-grade learners in Level 3 classrooms, guiding them through a range of academic, behavioral, communication, and physical needs. Your compassion and adaptability will be essential in fostering an environment where every child feels secure and empowered to succeed.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver personalized support to students with diverse learning and communication needs
• Assist young learners with limited verbal skills, adapting strategies to help them thrive
• Promote and reinforce positive behavior, contributing to a safe and structured environment
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and specialists to encourage student progress
• Facilitate inclusive participation in daily routines, classroom activities, and learning opportunities
• Respond calmly and professionally to behavioral or situational challenges as they arise

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting elementary-aged students, preferably in special education or behavioral settings
• Genuine patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to remain composed and resourceful in changing circumstances
• Willingness to assist students with a variety of medical, physical, or communication needs
• Dedication to upholding student safety, dignity, and inclusion
• Strength in teamwork and a collaborative approach to student success
