Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Previous experience working with students with diverse learning disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families
- Flexible, compassionate, and patient approach with students
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct instruction, individualized support, and academic interventions
- Track and document student progress, updating goals as necessary
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate inclusive classroom experiences
- Partner with families to keep them informed of student growth and challenges
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
- Adapt materials and lesson plans to maximize learning
