Special Education Teacher | Spring Grove, Illinois

This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work in a PreK blended classroom serving children ages 3-5. You'll collaborate alongside a general education teacher and experienced paraprofessionals, ensuring every child receives the support they need in a nurturing, well-resourced environment. With a maximum of 18 students, you’ll have the opportunity to make meaningful connections and personalize learning approaches.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with PreK or early elementary-aged children preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to adapt and differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to meet the wide-ranging needs of PreK students in a blended classroom setting
• Work closely with the general education teacher and paraprofessionals to create a cohesive, inclusive environment
• Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Foster positive relationships with students and encourage social, emotional, and academic growth
• Maintain clear communication with families and staff to share progress and strategies
• Support students in daily routines and transitions to promote independence and confidence
