Kansas Special Education Teacher Needed

We are seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to fill a long-term substitute position in an elementary school setting. This is an on-site role supporting students in a resource environment, including some students who require behavioral support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing instructional responsibilities while assisting with special education documentation and data collection.

Position Details:

• Location: Kansas

• Dates: ASAP – May 22, 2026

• Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

• Setting: Elementary Resource

Responsibilities:

• Provide resource-level special education instruction to elementary students

• Support students with academic and behavioral needs in a structured setting

• Assist with special education paperwork, progress monitoring, and data collection

• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

• Implement IEP goals and classroom accommodations

Requirements:

• Active teaching license required

• Special Education endorsement strongly preferred
