Special Education Teacher | Spring Hill, Tennessee

Make an impact in an elementary school setting by supporting young learners with diverse needs as a Pre-K Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity runs from August 25, 2026, through May 26, 2027, and offers a well-structured full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. You’ll be working onsite, focusing exclusively on a Pre-K caseload within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

• Current Tennessee Special Education License
• Possession of TN endorsements: 459, 465, 468, 2000, 2001
• Candidates with an existing TN SPED endorsement can qualify for the PreK endorsement by passing the appropriate Praxis exam
• School is willing to cover the Praxis exam cost for strong candidates interested in obtaining the PreK endorsement
• Prior experience working with young children requiring special education services is preferred
• Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for Pre-K students
• Employ evidence-based instructional strategies aligned with each child’s goals
• Collaborate with related service providers, classroom staff, and families to foster student growth
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and provide timely progress reports
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports all learners
