Qualifications:

• Valid 461 Tennessee special education license required
• Prior experience teaching K-2nd grade preferred
• Background in self-contained classroom settings is highly desirable

• Ability to modify lessons and instruction to meet a wide range of student abilities
• Committed to supporting the academic and social-emotional development of each child

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
• Provide direct instruction, academic interventions, and behavioral support in a small-group setting
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s goals
• Establish a safe, positive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth
• Communicate regularly with families and support staff to share updates and develop effective strategies
