Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting young learners in an Early Childhood Special Education setting. This contract position offers you your own classroom—with the support of three dedicated assistants—and an initial roster of six students, with the possibility to welcome additional young learners throughout the year. The role provides up to 30 hours per week, with occasional chances to work full days and earn extra hours.

You’ll become part of a collaborative environment, with a veteran ECSE teacher available to mentor and support you as you navigate the school year. While the position will begin part-time, there’s the potential for it to expand to full-time should classroom needs grow. It is important for students to have consistency, so a year-long commitment is valued.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (early childhood focus preferred)
  • Previous experience working with young learners with varying abilities
  • Ability to craft engaging, individualized lesson plans that support diverse needs
  • Collaborative, patient, and proactive approach to working with paraprofessionals and colleagues
  • Strong communication skills for connecting with students, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:
