You’ll have the rewarding chance to serve either as a full-time Special Education Preschool Teacher (requiring VT Early Childhood Special Education licensure), or as an Elementary Special Education Teacher (VT certification for grades K–6 or K–8). Qualifications:

• Valid Vermont Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) endorsement for preschool, or Vermont Special Education Teacher licensure for K–6 or K–8.
• Experience working with students in early childhood or elementary special education settings.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and interdisciplinary staff.
• Commitment to individualized instruction and student-centered planning.
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges.
• Engage students in creative, developmentally appropriate activities that support social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
• Collect and maintain data on student progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
