Special Education Teacher in Springtown, TX

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students in special education settings as a dedicated professional in Bridgeport, near Springtown, TX. We are seeking experienced educators for immediate contract roles covering MAT/SICK leave, with opportunities for long-term placement.

Two full-time positions are available from 7:15am to 3:30pm. Role A focuses on K–2nd grade life skills (caseload of 4 students), while Role B supports a high school life skills classroom (caseload of 5 students), beginning in November for another planned leave. Candidates with the flexibility and skills to transition between both roles are highly encouraged to apply, as this could provide continuous assignment through the end of the school year.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Texas
• Demonstrated experience with life skills caseloads (elementary or high school)
• Ability to manage individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate effectively with support staff
• Strong communication skills for partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility and adaptability for transitioning between assignments as needed
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to students’ individual needs in life skills settings
• Develop, implement, and monitor student IEPs, progress, and outcomes
• Utilize evidence-based practices to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities
