An exciting opportunity awaits educators passionate about special education. Two contract Special Education Teacher positions are available to support students during maternity and sick leave coverage at locations near Springtown, TX. These full-time roles offer the chance to make a meaningful impact, with immediate start dates and potential for extended placements as circumstances evolve.

We are seeking candidates who can bring expertise to different student caseloads:

  • Role A: Work with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students (behavioral needs; not fully self-contained; caseload of 5 students). Prior experience in similar settings is required. This position is not physically demanding.
  • Role B: Teach K–2nd grade students focused on life skills instruction (caseload of 4 students). Experience with young learners and life skills is needed.
  • Role C: Beginning in November, this position supports high school students with life skills (caseload of 5). If qualified, candidates may transition from Role A to Role C for extended coverage through the end of the school year.

Qualifications/Experience Sought:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (TX or eligible for TX).
  • Demonstrated experience managing small group caseloads in behavioral or life skills settings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Flexibility to work full time and adapt to evolving needs or locations.
  • Availability for immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized educational programs and lesson plans.
  • Foster a safe, respectful classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain documentation.
