Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification or licensure (State-required)
• Experience teaching or supporting elementary and/or middle school students
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum
• Compassion and skill in supporting students who may need assistance with toileting or have medical needs (training or willingness to learn essential)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with support staff, administrators, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and classroom management for small groups: 6 elementary and 11 middle school students
• Partner with teaching assistants and behavior technicians for holistic student support
• Assist students as needed with toileting; support one middle school student with a feeding tube as required
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Foster a caring, inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued
• Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress
