Special Ed Teacher | Stamford, Connecticut

A school district in Danbury, CT is seeking three dedicated Special Education Teachers to join their K-12 educational setting. These contract positions are available immediately and extend through May 22, 2026, providing a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students requiring special education services.

Available positions include:

• Elementary Resource Special Education Teacher
• Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher
• Middle School Resource Special Education Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and specialists
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress effectively
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and success

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut Educator Certificate with a Special Education endorsement is required
• Experience working with K-12 special education students preferred
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work within a multidisciplinary team

Work Schedule and Location:

• Onsite positions located in Danbury, CT
• 30 to 32.5 hours per week
• Contract duration covers the current school year
