Special Education Teacher | Stamford, Connecticut

As an educator in this role, you will lead all academic subjects for approximately eight students, focusing on their educational growth and success within a supportive and collaborative environment. Key duties include developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), conducting student assessments, and closely monitoring and tracking progress towards academic and behavioral goals. You will play an important part in IEP meetings—presenting student data, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring effective communication of strategies and progress to all stakeholders. With case management handled at the district office level, your primary focus will remain on high-quality classroom instruction and personalized student care.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Endorsement
• At least two years of recent experience working as a Special Education Teacher
• Demonstrated expertise in writing and leading IEPs, as well as in progress monitoring
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
