Make an impact in the lives of students by supporting a vibrant educational community as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 26/27 school year. Four full-time positions are available, offering the chance to work with dedicated colleagues and make a difference every day. This role begins August 24, 2026, and continues through June 24, 2027, with hours from 7:30 am to 2:40 pm. Opportunities are available in both middle and high school settings—including high school resource and co-teaching, as well as a unique middle school leave assignment through December.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching certification
  • Previous experience in middle or high school resource or co-teaching preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to build rapport with students, families, and educational staff
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Creative problem-solver with a positive, student-centered approach

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging instruction tailored to diverse learners’ needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers in co-teaching models
  • Maintain accurate records for student progress, IEPs, and related documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with families to ensure student success
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Adapt instructional materials and strategies to facilitate student learning
  • Communicate regularly with multidisciplinary team members
