Elementary Special Education Teacher Job – Stamford, CT

A school district in Stamford, CT, is now looking to hire Special Education Teachers for current, full-time openings supporting elementary students in a self-contained classroom setting. Each teacher will be responsible for approximately eight students and will provide instruction across all academic subject areas. Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction across all academic subject areas in a self-contained elementary classroom.
Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Attend and present at IEP meetings.
Conduct student testing and assessments as needed.
Track student progress and monitor progress toward IEP goals.
Support approximately eight students in a structured and supportive classroom environment.
Collaborate with district staff, families, and other educational professionals to support student success.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of recent teaching experience required.
Experience working in a self-contained special education classroom is preferred.
Proficiency with writing and implementing IEPs required.

Education:

Connecticut Special Education Teaching Endorsement required.

Employment Type: Full-time, Contract

Compensation: $38–$48 per hour
