Qualifications:

  • Current Connecticut Special Education Endorsement required
  • Minimum two years of recent teaching experience in Special Education
  • Demonstrated skill in writing and implementing IEPs

Responsibilities:

  • Teach high school students in self-contained or resource/co-teaching classes
  • Cover core subjects: English Language Arts (ELA), Science, Social Studies, and Math
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons for small groups (approx. 8 students in self-contained or 20-25 students in resource/co-teaching)
  • Write IEPs and present at IEP meetings
  • Conduct student assessments and track progress towards goals
  • Collaborate closely with school staff and support team
