Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher (or the ability to obtain one)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in life skills or adaptive programs
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and compliance
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and other educators
• Creative, flexible approach to problem-solving and lesson planning
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans based on students’ IEPs and learning objectives
• Teach essential life skills, fostering independence and practical abilities in daily living
• Collaborate with related service providers, general education staff, and parents to support student progress
• Monitor and document each student’s academic and social growth
• Adjust instructional strategies and interventions as needed for maximum student benefit
