This full-time role, spanning August 13, 2026 to June 3, 2027, involves working with middle and high school students who follow the extended content standard. You’ll serve a close-knit caseload of 15-18 learners, crafting targeted instruction within a supportive educational environment.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Valid Adapted Curriculum teaching license (required)
  • Prior experience working with students with autism or extensive needs preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with families and staff
  • Capability to support academic, social, and behavioral growth

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Deliver specialized instruction based on each student’s IEP, focusing on life skills, academics, and social development
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and progress
  • Employ a variety of teaching strategies suited to different learning styles
  • Collect and document student data to drive instructional decisions
  • Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators
  • Communicate with caregivers regarding student progress and needs
  • Ensure compliance with all special education laws and district policies
