Certified High School Special Education Teacher in Statesville, NC

This full-time, contract position covers 37.5 hours per week and runs ASAP through the Extended School Year (ESY) period. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Adaptive Special Education Certification
• Appropriate state teaching license for Special Education at the high school level
• Experience teaching or supporting students in self-contained or adaptive classrooms
• Understanding of IEP processes, individualized instruction, and modification strategies
• Commitment to fostering a nurturing and structured learning environment
• Collaborative attitude with excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of students with diverse abilities in a self-contained classroom
• Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) according to regulatory standards and student goals
• Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and family members to maximize student success
• Manage classroom routines, behavioral interventions, and daily activities
