As a Certified Special Education Teacher, you will design and implement individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of young learners. Collaboration with students, families, and educational teams will be crucial in fostering student growth and achievement. Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License with CI (Cognitively Impaired) or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) endorsement
- Certification in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), or willingness to obtain and keep certification current
- Experience working with children in grades K–2 preferred
- Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver specialized instructional plans tailored to individual student goals
- Create an inclusive, supportive classroom culture to enhance learning opportunities
- Work closely with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Monitor and report on student progress, making adjustments to instruction as needed
- Employ CPI strategies to maintain a safe and positive environment
