Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid Michigan ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Teaching Certification
• Experience teaching in elementary grade levels preferred
• Strong understanding of special education laws, policies, and best practices
• Passion for creating inclusive, engaging classroom environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with colleagues, parents, and support staff
• Proven classroom management skills and adaptability to meet individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored instruction to elementary students in a self-contained classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and individualized learning plans
• Foster a nurturing and positive classroom community
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers to support student goals
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and strategies
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to address diverse learning styles
